Congressional Schedule: April 23-27, 2018

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On Thursday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans’ Affairs, and Related Agencies will mark up the FY2019 Military Construction, Veterans’ Affairs, and Related Agencies spending bill.

Also on Thursday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on the Legislative Branch will mark up the FY2019 Legislative Branch spending bill.

Health- On Tuesday, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee will mark up several bills, including S. 2680, the Opioid Crisis Response Act.

On Wednesday, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will mark up several bills, including a bill to provide Medicaid coverage for pregnant and postpartum women receiving treatment for substance abuse disorders (as-yet-unnumbered).

International- On Thursday, the House Foreign Affairs Committee mark up the FY2019 Department of State Authorization Act (as-yet-unnumbered).

Military- On Thursday, the House Armed Services Military Personnel Subcommittee will mark up its portion of H.R. 5515, the FY2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Hearings:

Human Trafficking- On Thursday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations will hold a hearing, “Oversight of HHS and DHS Efforts to Protect Unaccompanied Alien Children from Human Trafficking and Abuse.”
