Floor Action:

Defense— This week, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 5515, the National Defense Authorization Act.

Military— On Monday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 3642, the Military Sexual Assault Victims Empowerment Act.

Veterans—On Monday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 4334, the Improving Oversight of Women Veterans’ Care Act, and H.R. 4451, the Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Programs Reauthorization Act.

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations— On Tuesday, the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Related Agencies will mark up the FY2019 Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered); the Senate Appropriations Committee will mark-up the bill on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2019 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

International— On Tuesday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will mark up several bills, including S. 2269, the Global Food Security Reauthorization Act.

Military— On Tuesday, the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel will mark up its portion of the FY2019 National Defense Authorization Act (as-yet-unnumbered).

On Wednesday, the Senate Armed Services Committee will begin consideration of the FY2019 National Defense Authorization Act.

Hearings:

Violence Against Women— On Wednesday, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing, “Examining the Olympic Community’s Ability to Protect Athletes from Sexual Abuse.”
