Floor Action:

Appropriations— This week, the House is scheduled to consider the conference report for H.R. 6157, a minibus package containing the FY2019 Defense and Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies spending bills, and a continuing resolution to fund the government through December 7.

Child Protection– On Tuesday, the House is likely to consider H.R. 6847, a bill to expand and strengthen federal sex offenses, to reauthorize certain programs established by the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act, and H. Con. Res. 72, a resolution to protect children in custody adjudications where family violence is alleged.

Human Trafficking– On Wednesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 6729, the Empowering Financial Institutions to Fight Human Trafficking Act.

STEM– On Tuesday, the House also is likely to consider H.R. 6758, the Study of Underrepresented Classes Chasing Engineering and Science Success (SUCCESS) Act.

Hearings:

Human Trafficking– On Wednesday, the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security will hold a hearing, “Hidden in Plain Sight: Understanding Federal Efforts to Stop Human Trafficking.”

Health– On Thursday, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing, “Better Data and Better Outcomes: Reducing Maternal Mortality in the United States.”
