Congressional Schedule: February 7-11, 2022 

Floor Action: 
 
The House and Senate are in session this week. 

Appropriations– On Tuesday, the House is scheduled to vote on a continuing resolution (CR) (H.R. 6617) to fund the government through March 11. The current CR expires on February 18.
 
Employment– On Monday, the House will consider H.R. 4445, the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act of 2021. 
 
Women’s History– This week, the House also will consider several bills, including H.R. 2324, a bill to designate the “D. Edwina Stephens Post Office,” and H.R. 2842, a bill to designate the “Lynn C. Woolsey Post Office Building.” 
 
Mark-ups: 
 
Child Protection– On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will consider several bills, including S. 3538, the Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies (EARN IT) Act. The bill would establish a National Commission on Online Child Sexual Exploitation Prevention. 
 
Human Trafficking– On Tuesday, the House Foreign Affairs Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 6552, the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2022. 

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will consider S. 3103, the Eliminating Limits to Justice for Child Sex Abuse Victims Act. The measure would eliminate the statute of limitations for a minor victim of a human trafficking offense or federal sex offense to file a civil action to recover damages. 
 
Hearings: 
 
Employment– On Wednesday, the Joint Economic Committee will hold a hearing, “Building a Better Labor Market: Empowering Older Workers for a Stronger Economy.” 
 
Human Trafficking– On Tuesday, the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee will hold a hearing, “Data Challenges Impacting Human Trafficking Research and Development of Anti-Trafficking Technological Tools.” 
 
Veterans– On Tuesday, the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs will hold a hearing, “Honoring our Promise: Reviewing the Effectiveness of Services for Survivors and Dependents.”
