Floor Action: The House and Senate are in session this week.
Appropriations – This week, the House is expected to consider the FY2026 Financial Services and General Government spending bill as part of a minibus (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation includes funding for women-owned business programs at the Small Business Administration.
Child Care– On Tuesday, the House will vote on H.R. 2270, the Empowering Child and Elder Care Solutions Act.
Child Protection– On Monday, the House will vote on H.R. 6715, the Child Predators Accountability Act; H.R. 6719, the Combating Online Predators Act, and H.R. 6732, the Coercion and Sexual Abuse Free Environment Act.
Women’s History– On Tuesday, the House will vote on H.R. 1461, a bill to designate a United States Postal Service Office in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, as the ‘‘Mary Elizabeth ‘Bettie’ Cole Post Office Building.”

Sports- On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee will consider a number of bills, including H.R. 1028, the Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act.
Veterans– On Wednesday, the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee will consider a number of bills, including H.R. 2148, the Veteran Caregiver Reeducation, Reemployment, and Retirement Act, and H.R. 3482, the Veterans Community Care Scheduling Improvement Act.
Hearings:
Abortion– The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee will hold a hearing on “Protecting Women: Exposing the Dangers of Chemical Abortion Drugs.”
Child Care– On Tuesday, the House Education and the Workforce Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education will hold a hearing on “Who’s Watching the Kids? How Employers, Innovators, and Parents are Solving America’s Child Care Crunch.”
