Floor Action: The House and Senate are in session.
Defense- On Wednesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 8070, the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement Act, which is the FY2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The measure contains provisions to address military sexual assault and military child development centers, among other provisions.
Reproductive Health- On Wednesday, the Senate is scheduled to consider S. 4445, which would create a federal right to in vitro fertilization (IVF), require employer-sponsored insurance plans to cover fertility treatments, and require Federal Employees Health Benefits Program carries to cover IVF.

Appropriations- On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies will mark up the FY2025 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation includes funding for several domestic and international nutrition assistance programs and FDA user fees.
On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2025 Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The bill would provide funding for several international assistance programs supporting women and girls.
On Thursday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2025 Defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered), which includes funding for the Defense Health Program and military personnel programs, among others.
On Thursday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2025 Financial Services and General Government spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The measure contains funding for women-owned business programs at the Small Business Administration.
Also on Thursday, the House Appropriations Committee is scheduled to mark up the FY2025 Legislative Branch spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation includes provisions related to funding for childcare for congressional employees.
Defense- This week, the Senate Armed Services Committee is scheduled to mark up its version of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2025.
Hearings:
Abortion- On Wednesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing, “Crossing the Line: Abortion Bans and Interstate Travel for Care After Dobbs.”
Military- On Tuesday, the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigation of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs will hold a hearing on “Coast Guard Oversight: Sexual Assault and Harassment.”
