Joseph Crowley (D-NY)/Energy and Commerce (12/1/10)—A bill to require the Federal Communications Commission to promulgate regulations requiring a label to be displayed on the packaging of certain baby monitors to warn that the signals of such monitors may be intercepted by potential intruders.

Crime

H.R. 6491—-Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY)/Ways and Means (12/2/10)—A bill to authorize appropriations for the purpose of establishing an office within the Internal Revenue Service to focus on violations of the internal revenue laws by persons who are under investigation for conduct relating to the promotion of commercial sex acts and trafficking in persons crimes, and to increase the criminal monetary penalty limitations for the underpayment or overpayment of tax due to fraud.
