On June 19, the House voted, 317-109, to override the president’s veto of H.R. 6124, the Food and Energy Security Act, also known as the Farm Bill. The Senate voted, 80-14, on the veto override later the same day. The Senate passed the bill on June 5 (see The Source, 6/6/08); the House approved the measure on May 21 (see The Source, 5/23/08).
