On September 27, the House approved, by voice vote, the Senate amendments to H.R. 6063, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Authorization Act. The Senate passed the measure containing technical changes to the bill, by unanimous consent, the previous day. The Senate Commerce, Science, and Technology Committee approved the legislation on June 24 (see The Source, 6/27/08); the House approved the original bill on June 18 (see The Source, 6/20/08).
The bill contains a provision to encourage women to pursue higher education degrees in science and engineering.
