On April 24, the House passed, 420-0, H.R. 360, a bill to award posthumously the Congressional Gold Medal to four black girls – Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley – in recognition of the 1963 bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church where they lost their lives.
