Floor Action:

This week, the House is scheduled to consider the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization Act (H.R. 1281).

The Senate is scheduled to consider Supporting Knowledge and Investing in Lifelong Skills (SKILLS) Act (H.R. 803).

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2015 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government will mark up the FY2015 Financial Services and General Government spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2015 Financial Services and General Government spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

International- the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will mark up the Sean and David Goldman International Child Abduction Prevention and Return Act (H.R. 1951).

Hearings:

Violence Against Women- On Monday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Financial and Contracting Oversight will hold a roundtable, “Campus Sexual Assault: The Administrative Process and the Criminal Justice System.”

On Tuesday, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee will hold a hearing, “Sexual Assault on Campus: Working to Ensure Student Safety.”

International/Violence Against Women- On Tuesday, the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on International Operations and Organizations, Human Rights, Democracy, and Global Women’s Issues will hold a hearing, “Combating Violence and Discrimination Against Women: A Global Call to Action.”
