Floor Action: The House and Senate are in session this week.
Human Trafficking– On Monday, the House is set to consider H.R. 4323, the Trafficking Survivors Relief Act, which provides for the vacating of certain convictions and expungement of certain arrests for victims of human trafficking.
Sports– This week, the House will consider H.R. 4312, the SCORE Act, which protects the name, image, and likeness rights of student athletes and promotes fair competition with respect to intercollegiate athletics. The legislation includes provisions to promote sexual violence prevention education among covered athletes.
Hearings:
Women’s History– On Tuesday, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Subcommittee on Public Lands, Forests, and Mining will consider S. 790, a bill to redesignate the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper, Wyoming, as the “Barbara L. Cubin National Historic Trails Interpretive Center.”
Also on Tuesday, the House Oversight Committee will consider several postal naming measures including H.R. 1461 which designates a post office in Sewickley, Pennsylvania as the “Mary Elizabeth ‘Bettie’ Cole Post Office Building;” H.R. 4635 which designates a post office in Cleveland, Ohio as the “Technical Sergeant Alma Gladys Minter Post Office Building;” H.R. 5717 which designates a post office in Newark, New Jersey as the “Mildred Joyce Coleman Crump Post Office Building,” and H.R. 6317 which designates a Post Office in New Kent, Virginia as the “Patricia Paige Post Office.”
