BRIEFINGS ON CAPITOL HILL
Along with our other signature events, WCPI hosts congressional policy briefings on issues, including women’s preventative health; women’s health research; reducing maternal mortality and improving maternal and child health in the United States and globally; women veterans and women in the military; the gender wage gap; asset building and financial literacy for women; and economic security.
These congressional briefings are free and open to the public as space permits.
Economic briefing series

WCPI held a congressional briefing to discuss ending period poverty for women and girls. This briefing was held in conjunction with the leadership of the bipartisan Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues and made possible with the support of Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Always. In 2020, Invent Together and WCPI hosted a congressional briefing to discuss women and patents and increasing diversity in the innovation ecosystem. The briefing was held in cooperation with the leadership of the bipartisan Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues and made possible through a grant from Qualcomm.
