WCPI hosts congressional policy briefings on issues important to women and girls.

Briefings on Capitol Hill

Along with our other signature events, WCPI hosts congressional policy briefings on issues, including women’s preventative health; women’s health research; reducing maternal mortality and improving maternal and child health in the United States and globally; women veterans and women in the military; the gender wage gap; asset building and financial literacy for women; and economic security.

These congressional briefings are free and open to the public as space permits.

Upcoming Economic Briefing

WCPI’s first conversation in a new virtual economic briefing series will focus on the impact of the pandemic on women in the workforce. Speakers include Emily M. Dickens, Chief of Staff, Head of Government Relations, and Corporate Secretary, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Kate Meckler, International Vice President, Director, Region 7 – Northwestern, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW).
