On December 19, the Senate approved, 84-15, the FY2014 National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 3304). The House approved the legislation on December 12 (see The Source, 12/13/13).
The $625.1 billion bill contains provisions to address sexual assault in the military, women in ground combat, and funding for military personnel and health programs.
The president is expected to sign the bill into law.
