Floor Action:
Appropriations- This week, the House and Senate approved an omnibus spending bill that funds the federal government through FY2014. The House approved H.R. 3547 by a vote of 359-67 on January 15; the Senate approved the measure, 72-26, on January 16.
The House and Senate also approved a continuing resolution (H. J. Res. 106) to keep the government funded through January 18 while they worked to complete the omnibus bill.

Abortion- On January 15, the House Judiciary Committee approved, 22-12, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (H.R. 7).
