Veterans- This week, the Senate is scheduled to consider the Comprehensive Veterans Health and Benefits and Military Retirement Pay Restoration Act (S. 2982).
Hearings:
Military/Violence Against Women- On Wednesday, the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel will hold a hearing on the relationships between military sexual assault, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and suicide, and on the Department of Defense’s and Department of Veterans Affairs’ medical treatment and management of victims of sexual trauma.
Human Trafficking- On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies will hold a hearing, “The State of Efforts to Stop Human Trafficking.”
Education/Child Care- Also on Wednesday, the Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a hearing, “Early Childhood Development and Education in Indian Country: Building a Foundation for Academic Success.”
International- On Thursday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold a hearing on “International Parental Child Abduction.”
