Floor Action:

Abortion– This week, the Senate is likely to begin consideration of S. 311, the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and S. 3275, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

Miscellaneous– On Wednesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 473, the Every Word We Utter Monument, and H.R. 2819, the Gold Star Mothers Families National Monument Extension Act.

Veterans– On Tuesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 3749, the Legal Services for Homeless Veterans Act.

Mark-Ups:

Family Support- On Thursday, the House Financial Services Committee will consider several bills, including H.R. 149, the Veterans, Women, Families with Children, Race, and Persons with Disabilities Housing Fairness Act.

Violence Against Women– On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 2438, the Not Invisible Act of 2019, H.R. 2733, Savanna’s Act, and the Strengthening the Opposition to Female Genital Mutilation (STOP FGM) Act (as-yet-unnumbered).

Hearings:

Family Support– On Tuesday, the Joint Economic Committee will hold a hearing, “Improving Family Stability for the Wellbeing of American Children.”

Employment– On Thursday, the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight, Management, and Accountability will hold a hearing, “Building a Diverse and Inclusive Workforce to meet the Homeland Security Mission.”

On Thursday, the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing, “Sexual Harassment at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.”
