The House and Senate are in session this week. 
 
On Tuesday, President Biden will deliver his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress. 
 
Abortion– This week, the Senate is scheduled to continue debate on H.R. 3755, the Women’s Health Protection Act. 
 
Employment– On Monday, the House will consider H.R. 2116, the Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural (CROWN) Hair Act of 2022, as amended.  
 
Women’s History– Also on Monday, the House will consider S. 321, the “Six Triple Eight” Congressional Gold Medal Act, a bill to award a Congressional Gold Medal to the members of the Women’s Army Corps assigned to the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion; and H.R. 2142, a bill to designate the “Indiana Hunt-Martin Post Office Building.” 
 
Hearings: 
 
Child Care– On Wednesday, the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis will hold a hearing, “COVID Child Care Challenges: Supporting Families and Caregivers.” 
 
STEM– On Tuesday, the House Science, Space, and Technology Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics will hold a hearing, “Keeping Our Sights on Mars Part 3: A Status Update and Review of NASA’s Artemis Initiative.” With Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and first person of color on the moon. 
 
Violence Against Women– On Thursday, the House Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties will hold a hearing, “The Neglected Epidemic of Missing BIPOC Women and Girls.”
