This week, the House and Senate are likely to consider a three-day continuing resolution (CR) (H. J. Res. 106) that would fund the government through January 18.
The CR is necessary to allow House and Senate negotiators to complete work on an FY2014 omnibus spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered), which would fund the government through the remainder of the fiscal year. The House and Senate also are likely to consider the omnibus measure this week.
