Congressional Schedule: July 15-19, 2019

Floor Action: 

International- On Monday, the House is scheduled to consider H. Res. 129, a resolution condemning the government of Saudi Arabia’s continued detention and alleged abuse of women’s rights activists. 

Mark-Ups: 

Employment- On Wednesday, the House Energy and Commerce Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 1315, the Blue Collar to Green Collar Jobs Development Act.

Health- On Tuesday, the House Committee on Homeland Security is scheduled to mark up several bills, including H.R. 3694, the Helping Families Fly Act.

On Wednesday, the House Energy and Commerce Committee also will H.R. 2507, the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization Act.

Veterans- On Wednesday, the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 2618, a bill to provide a guarantee of residency for registration of businesses for spouses of members of the uniformed services, and H.R. 2924, the Housing for Women Veterans Act. 

Hearings:  

Judiciary- On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security will hold a hearing, “Women and Girls in the Criminal Justice System.”
