Congressional Schedule: June 15-19, 2015

Floor Action:

Military- The Senate is scheduled to continue its consideration of the FY2016 National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 1735).

Appropriations- The Senate also is likely to consider the FY2016 Defense spending bill (S. 2558).

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies will mark up the FY2016 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

Also on Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2016 Financial Services and General Government spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

Hearings:

Family Support- On Tuesday, the House Education and the Workforce Committee will hold a hearing, “Child Nutrition Assistance: Are Federal Rules and Regulations Serving the Best Interests of Schools and Families?”

Crime- On Thursday, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations will hold a hearing on the Rapid DNA Act, H.R. 320.
