Congressional Schedule: May 13-17, 2019

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense will mark up the FY2020 Defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On Thursday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2020 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On Friday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies will mark up the FY2020 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

Miscellaneous- On Wednesday, the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 540, a bill to designate the Louise and Bob Slaughter Post Office in Fairport, New York.

Violence Against Women- The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee also will mark up the Improve Data on Sexual Violence Act (as-yet-unnumbered).

Hearings:

Health- On Thursday, the House Ways and Means Committee will hold a hearing, “Racial Disparities and Social Determinants in the Maternal Mortality Crisis.”

Small Business/Entrepreneurship- Also on Thursday, the House Small Business Subcommittee on Contracting and Infrastructure will hold a hearing, “Oversight of the Small Business Administration’s Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contracting Program.”
