Congressional Schedule: May 3-7, 2021

The House has a committee work period and does not have any scheduled votes.

Mark-Ups:

Veterans- On Tuesday, the House Veterans Affairs Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 958, the Protecting Moms Who Served Act; H.R. 239, the Equal Access to Contraception for Veterans Act; and H.R. 2704, the Improving VA Accountability to Prevent Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Act.

Hearings:

Employment- On Monday, the House Education and Labor Subcommittee on Workforce Protections will hold a hearing, “From Excluded to Essential: Tracing the Racist Exclusion of Farmworkers, Domestic Workers, and Tipped Workers from the Fair Labor Standards Act.”

Health- On Thursday, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform Hearing: “Birthing While Black: Examining America’s Black Maternal Health Crisis.”

Veterans- On Thursday, the House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing, “Transforming the VA Workforce: Assessing Progress on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives.”
