Another Continuing Resolution Approved By Congress

On January 28, the House approved, by voice vote, a continuing resolution (H. J. Res. 13) to fund government programs at their FY2002 levels through February 7, while lawmakers prepare to work on a conference report for an omnibus appropriations package that was attached to another continuing resolution (H. J. Res. 2). The next day, the Senate unanimously approved H. J. Res. 13.

To date, only 2 of the 13 FY2003 appropriations bills have been enacted: defense and military construction. Conferees are expecting to send the remaining bills to the President before the President’s Day recess in mid-February.
