Congressional Schedule: May 6-10, 2019

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On Wednesday, May 8, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2020 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On Thursday, May 9, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2020 Legislative Branch (as-yet-unnumbered) and Military Construction, Veterans’ Affairs, and Related Agencies (as-yet-unnumbered) spending bills.

On Friday, May 10, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs will mark up the FY2020 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

Child Protection- On May 8, the Education and Labor Committee will mark up H.R. 2480, the Stronger Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act.

Hearings:

Employment- On Wednesday, the House Ways and Means Committee will hold a hearing, “Paid Family and Medical Leave: Helping Workers and Employers Succeed.”

STEM- On Thursday, the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee will hold a hearing, “Achieving the Promise of a Diverse STEM Workforce.”
