Fourth Continuing Resolution Approved by Congress

On October 16, the House approved, 228-172, a fourth continuing resolution (H. J. Res. 123) to fund government programs at their FY2002 levels through November 22. The same day, the Senate approved the resolution, by voice vote.

To date, Congress has cleared the appropriations bills for defense (H.R. 5010) and military construction (H.R. 5011) for the President’s signature. In addition, the House has approved three spending bills, while the Senate has approved one.
