House Committee Examines Care and Services for Women Veterans

On April 30, the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee held a hearing, “Examining Access and Quality of Care and Services for Women Veterans.” The hearing focused on the status of health care services for women veterans by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The following witnesses testified during the hearing:

  • Patricia Hayes PhD, chief consultant, Women’s Health Services, Office of Patient Care Services, Veterans Health Administration, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs;
  • Susan McCutcheon RN, EdD, national mental health director for Family Services, Women’s Mental Health, and Military Sexual Trauma, Veterans Health Administration, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; and Curtis Coy, deputy under secretary for Economic Opportunity, Veterans Benefits Administration, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
