House Committee Holds Hearing on Women Veterans’ Medical Services

On September 26, the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Health held a hearing on several bills, including H.R. 93, a bill to provide increased access to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical care for women veterans.

The legislation, sponsored by Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA), would require the VA secretary to ensure that “gender-specific services are continuously available at every medical center and community-based outpatient clinic of the [VA].”
