House Examines Sudan Sanctions

On April 26, the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations held a hearing, “The Questionable Case for Easing Sudan Sanctions.”

The hearing focused on the consideration of lifting sanctions against Sudan, which has violated several human rights laws. Sudan is ranked as a “Tier 3” country on the State Department’s Trafficking in Persons report.
