On October 10, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense approved, by voice vote, the FY2002 defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). In the past, several women’s health research programs have received funding under the bill: breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and osteoporosis research. Details will not be available until after the full committee mark-up on October 18.
