Human Trafficking Bill Considered by Senate

This week, the Senate continued its consideration of the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act (S. 178), a bill that would establish a fund to aid domestic trafficking victims. Further action on the bill has been stalled due to partisan debate over the inclusion of language that would permanently restrict money in the fund from being used for abortions (see The Source, 3/15/15 and 3/20/15). The Senate is likely to continue debate on the bill next week.
