On October 2, the Senate passed, by unanimous consent, H.R. 4131, a resolution to designate a portion of California State Route 91 in Los Angeles County, California, as the Juanita Millender-McDonald (D-CA) Highway in honor of the late congresswoman. The House passed H.R. 4131 on September 29 (see The Source, 9/26/08).
