On September 30, the Senate passed, 62-38, H.R. 2918, the FY2010 Legislative Branch conference report. The report also contains a continuing resolution that would extend for one month funding for government departments, agencies, and programs at FY2009 levels. The House passed the conference report on September 25 (see The Source, 9/25/09); the Senate passed its original Legislative Branch spending bill on July 6 (see The Source, 7/10/09). The president signed the measure into law on September 30 (P.L. 111-68).
The conference report includes $1.4 billion for operations in the House of Representatives and $926 million for Senate operations, as well as funding provisions for the House and Senate child care centers.
