Senate Designates American Heart Month, National Wear Red Day

On February 10, the Senate passed, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 45, a resolution designating February 2017 as “American Heart Month” and February 3, 2017 as “National Wear Red Day,” sponsored by Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI).

The resolution emphasizes that heart disease is the leading cause of death among women in the United States.
