On April 4, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 112, which designates April 5, 2017, as “Gold Star Wives Day.”
Sponsored by Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), the resolution recognizes the “important role that Gold Star Wives of America, Inc. plays in the lives of the spouses and families of fallen members and veterans of the Armed Forces.”
