Senate Recognizes Girl Scout Gold Award

On April 5, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 406, a resolution recognizing the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scout Gold Award.

The measure, sponsored by Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), notes that the Gold Award is the highest award in the Girl Scouts and has “stood for excellence and leadership for girls everywhere since 1916.” The resolution recognizes “the remarkable impact that recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award…has had on the lives of individuals in the United States and the world.”
