On March 17, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 409, a resolution recognizing March 2016 as National Women’s History Month.
Sponsored by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the resolution acknowledges that “much remains to be done to ensure that women realize their full potential as equal members of the society of the United States” and “recognizes the celebration of National Women’s History Month as a time to reflect on the many notable contributions that women have made to the United States.”
