Senate Subcommittee Examines Barriers to Female Education

On June 15, the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women’s Issues held a hearing, “Barriers to Education Globally: Getting Girls in the Classroom.”

The following witnesses testified:

  • Kakenya Ntaiya, PhD, founder and president, Kakenya Center for Excellence.
