Subcommittee Examines the Zika Virus

On March 2, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations held a hearing, “Examining the U.S. Public Health Response to the Zika Virus.” The hearing addressed the government’s efforts to contain the Zika virus and the need for sustainable programs that can prevent, diagnose, treat, or cure this public health threat.

  • Timothy M. Persons, chief scientist, Government Accountability Office; and
