Mark-Ups:
Appropriations – On Monday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2026 Homeland Security spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation includes a provision stating that none of the funds are made available to place restraints on pregnant women in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security unless stated otherwise by a department official or medical professional.
On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2026 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The measure contains funding for military family housing and the Veterans Health Administration.
Also on Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2026 Defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation includes funding for the Defense Health Program and military personnel programs, among others.
On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2026 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation includes funding for several domestic and international nutrition assistance programs and FDA user fees.
Veterans – On Thursday, the House Veterans Affairs’ Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 2148, The Veteran Caregiver Reeducation, Reemployment, and Retirement Act.
