CONGRESSIONAL SCHEDULE: NOVEMBER 16-20, 2020

Floor Action:

The Senate is in session this week. 

Child Care- On Tuesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 8326, the Child Care is Economic Development Act. 

Employment- On Thursday, the House will consider H.R. 8294, the National Apprenticeship Act. 

Hearings:

Miscellaneous- On Tuesday, the Senate Rules and Administration Committee will hold a hearing on legislation, including S. 959, the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum Act.

H. Res. 1219—Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY)/Education and Labor (11/12/20)—A resolution supporting the designation of the week beginning November 8, 2020, as “National Apprenticeship Week.”

Miscellaneous 

H. Res. 1215—Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-PA)/Oversight and Reform (11/12/20)—A resolution honoring the life and achievements of Lucretia Mott and the 140th anniversary of her death.

Veterans 

H. Res. 1213—Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA)/Veterans’ Affairs (11/12/20)—A resolution expressing the support of the House of Representatives for the naming of new or undedicated facilities of the Department of Veterans Affairs after women veterans and minority veterans in order to reflect the diversity of all who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States.
