Appropriations- On December 18, the House and Senate approved H.R. 2029, which contains the FY2016 consolidated appropriations bill and provisions of the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act.
Tax Policy- On December 17, the House approved, 318-109, the PATH Act. The Senate approved the measure by a vote of 65-33 on December 18.
Human Trafficking- On December 17, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, H.R. 515, the International Megan’s Law to Prevent Demand for Child Sex Trafficking.
International- On December 16, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 310, a resolution condemning the ongoing sexual violence against women and children from Yezidi, Christian, Shabak, Turkmen, and other religious communities committed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
