Miscellaneous- On June 29, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 516, a resolution expressing its “deep regret” upon hearing of the passing of Pat Summitt.
Appropriations- On June 29, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved, 30-0, the FY2017 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs spending bill (S. 3117). The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs approved the legislation by voice vote on June 28.
Human Trafficking- On June 28, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing, “One Year after Enactment: Implementation of the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 (P.L. 114-22).”
