Floor Action:

Veterans- On June 11, the Senate approved, 93-3, the Veterans’ Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act (H.R. 3230).

Appropriations- This week, the House began debate on the FY2015 Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Related Agencies spending bill (H.R. 4800).

On June 10, the House approved, 229-192, the FY2015 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies spending bill (H.R. 4745).

International- On June 10, the House approved, 411-2, a resolution (H. Res. 617) condemning the abduction of female students by the terrorist group known as Boko Haram.

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On June 10, the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies approved, by voice vote, the FY2015 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies appropriations bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On June 10, the House Appropriations Committee approved, by voice vote, the FY2015 Defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

Hearings:

Family Support- On June 10, the House Budget Committee held a hearing, “A Progress Report on the War on Poverty: Reforming Federal Aid.”

International- On June 11, the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations held a hearing, “The Ongoing Struggle Against Boko Haram.”
