On December 17, the House passed, by voice vote, H. J. Res. 105, a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the federal government through December 21. The Senate approved the funding measure by unanimous consent on December 17. The previous CR (P.L. 111-290) expired on December 18.
On December 8, the House passed a year-long CR (H.R. 3082), which would have funded the government through September 20, 2011 (see The Source, 12/10/10). The Senate is considering a longer-term measure that would fund the government through March 4, 2011. Congress has yet to complete action on the twelve FY2011 spending bills.
