Floor Action:

The Senate is in recess until July 11.

The House is in a committee work period this week with no scheduled floor votes.

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2023 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). This bill includes funding for programs to combat human trafficking and violence against women and girls.

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2023 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs spending bill and the FY2023 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies spending bill (both as-yet-unnumbered). The State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs spending bill provides funding for several international assistance programs supporting women and girls. The Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies spending bill includes funding for the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum.

On Thursday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2023 Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Related Agencies spending bill, and the FY2023 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies spending bill (both as-yet-unnumbered). The Transportation, HUD and Related Agencies spending bill would provide funding for housing programs for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and to support affordable housing for women with dependents.
