Floor Action:

The House and Senate are in session this week.

Child Care- On Wednesday, the House will consider H.R. 7909, the Ensuring Children and Child Care Workers Are Safe Act of 2020, and the S. 2683, the Child Care Protection Improvement Act of 2020. 
 
Employment- On Thursday, the House will consider H.R. 2694, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.
 
Miscellaneous- On Monday, the House will consider several bills, including H.R. 5597, a bill to designate the “Clara Luper Post Office Building;” H.R. 3870, a bill to designate the “Normandia Maldonado Post Office Building;” H.R. 4975, a bill to designate the “Dorothy Braden Bruce Post Office Building;” and H.R. 2969, a bill to designate the “Althea Margaret Daily Mills Post Office Building.”
 
Mark-Ups:
 
Employment- On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 5309, the CROWN Act.
 
Health- The House Judiciary Committee also will consider H.R. 7718, Protecting the Health and Wellness of Babies and Pregnant Women in Custody Act.
 
Veterans- On Thursday, the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee will mark up several bills, including H.R. 2947, the Comprehensive Prevention Access to Care and Treatment Act, which contains provisions to address the needs of women veterans.
 
Hearings:
 
Employment- On Thursday, the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing, “Examining the Barriers and Solutions to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Department of the Interior.”
