Floor Action: The House and Senate are in session this week.  

Military- This week, the Senate is expected to consider S. 2296, the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2026, which includes funding for the Defense Health Program and military personnel programs, among others. 

Hearings:   

Health- On Wednesday, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing “Examining Opportunities to Advance American Health Care through the Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies.” 

On Thursday, the Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing, “The President’s 2026 Health Care Agenda.” 

Mark-Ups: 

Appropriations- On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies is scheduled to mark up the FY2026 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). 

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2026 Financial Services and General Government spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered). The legislation includes funding for women-owned business programs at the Small Business Administration.
