SPEAKERS:

Janine Austin Clayton, M.D., FARVO, Associate Director for Research on Women’s Health, Director of the Office of Research on Women’s Health, National Institutes of Health (NIH), will speak to the critical need to improve maternal health outcomes and the NIH-wide initiative to reduce preventable maternal mortality, decrease severe maternal morbidity, and promote health equity.

Terri Major-Kincade, MD, MPH, FAAP, The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston, will provide a clinical perspective on the continuing maternal mortality crisis, its causes, and potential solutions.

Stacey Brayboy, Senior Vice President, Public Policy and Government Affairs, March of Dimes, will speak about her organization’s efforts to respond to the high rate of maternal mortality, annual report card, and finding potential bipartisan policy solutions.

Jazmyne Reid, Maternal Health Equity Leader for Procter & Gamble Baby Care, will moderate the discussion.
