Bhakthi Sahgal worked as a legislative fellow in the office of Congresswoman Lois Capps (CA-24). She received her Master’s degree in Public Health from George Washington University and her BA in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia. Originally from Oregon, Bhakthi worked at community health clinics in her home state and in Philadelphia. Prior to her fellowship, she engaged in policy work in several settings and as a published researcher. Bhakthi was the Amgen Fellow.
